Edward received his
Bachelor of Engineering degree with First Class Honors in Computer
Engineering and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic
Engineering from the Hong
Kong University of Science and Technology in 2002 and 2007,
respectively. From May to July 2007, he was a
visiting
student in the Department
of Information
Technology,
Lund
Institute of Technology, Lund
University, Sweden. From September 2007 to June 2008, he was with the Department of
Electronic and Computer Engineering of HKUST as a visiting
assistant
professor. Since June 2008, he has been a Research Fellow in Institute
for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore.
Edward has participated in several standardization groups
within IEEE 802, especially the 802.22,
where he has been an active contributor and the working group

wireless communications, communication theory, and signal processing
for communications. Work is also being done on signal processing and
analog integrated circuit design for data storage and memory
applications.
I am currently looking for highly-motivated graduate students with solid mathematical background and are interested in wireless communications, signal processing for communications/data storage. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested. Information on the gradate application/scholarshop is also available on the offical website of A*STAR.
